A multidisciplinary approach

I have been working in the care industry for the past 14 years. I had previously been a house and pet sitter and I was asked by a client if I would be prepared to look after his elderly mother while he was on holiday. On his return he encouraged me to pursue a career in care and put me in touch with a live-in care agency. I have never looked back and thoroughly enjoyed my role as a carer, which has been invaluable to me as I have progressed my career and become a Care Assessor.

As a Care Assessor at Oxford Aunts, I am responsible for ensuring our clients can live well in their own homes with care and support from our live-in carer, whilst providing the client, their families and our carers any support they may need. From the initial assessment of a client’s needs to the on-going review of our service, I provide high levels of support to ensure the standards of care Oxford Aunts are renowned for.
