CARE MANAGEMENT IN KENILWORTH

A fully managed and regulated live-in care service

Our fully managed live-in care service in Kenilworth means that all our carers are employed by us whilst they care for you. A local care management team of care experts is on hand to provide support to not just to our clients’ and their family members, but also our carer to ensure the highest quality care is provided. We are also regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), unlike introduction agencies who will simply provide you with a carer for you to manage yourself. We are proud to have been rated ‘Good’ by CQC in all five measures – safe, caring, effective, responsive and well-led.  We know our service provides families with peace and mind that their loved one is receiving the best possible care and eases the burden of managing a care arrangement themselves for their loved one.

Expertly trained carers in Kenilworth

All our dedicated carers receive marketing leading training developed by care experts, which goes beyond mandatory training. This enables our carers to support those living with complex conditions, such as dementia or Parkinson’s that require more monitoring, care and support.

From induction training, into placement and beyond and we ensure our carers continually develop their knowledge and skills so that our clients receive the best possible care now and in the future.

Local, dedicated care management near you

We provide live-in care in Kenilworth and its surrounding counties.  Each regional team is made up of a dedicated Care Assessor local to you who is on hand to provide an unrivalled level of support to you, your family and our carer. They are supported by a Care Manager at our central office who handles all other aspects of care delivery to ensure a quality service is delivered, every time.

Our care management team in Kenilworth only has a small portfolio of clients to support, enabling the care team to provide a highly personalised and quality live-in care service in Kenilworth and beyond, whilst clients receive more levels of monitoring and day-to-day support.

A multidisciplinary approach

As an established live-in care provider in Kenilworth, we have built strong relationships with local healthcare professionals, including GP’s, district nurses, local Clinical Commissioning Groups and other charitable organisations and community healthcare services. This means we can provide a multidisciplinary approach to care at home that is focused on improving health and wellbeing whilst avoiding any unnecessary hospital admissions and enabling swifter discharge from hospital.

We have developed strong relationships with those responsible for hospital discharge at the following hospitals in Warwickshire:

  • Warwick Hospital
  • University Hospital Coventry and Warwick

MEET YOUR LOCAL CARE
MANAGEMENT TEAM IN WARWICKSHIRE

Many of our clients are based in and around Warwickshire so we have a regional team made up of a Care Assessor and Care Manager who can support you and your family whilst we are providing live-in care to you.

michelle thomasI started my career in reablement care working as an occupational therapy assistant and a care co-ordinator in the community. I then worked for seven years in domiciliary care as a Registered Manager. I joined Oxford Aunts in May 2016 as a Care Manager and have thoroughly enjoyed understanding what a difference live-in care can make to an individual’s quality of life and seeing the positive outcomes it can deliver through continuity of care. When you meet a client who feels their only option is to go into a care home, who is then able to receive a one-to-one personalised service from Oxford Aunts and thrive in the own home, it is overwhelmingly satisfying. Being part of a team that enables our clients to live as independently as possible is such a privilege.

As Care Manager at Oxford Aunts, I am responsible for ensuring our clients and their families have a dedicated point of contact who truly understands their requirements and can support their service. I have a deep understanding of our carers, not just in terms of their skills and experience, but their personalities and values. This means I can effectively match our carers with clients to ensure, not just their care needs are met but that the carer is aligned to how the client wishes to live their life. I work closely with our Care Assessor which means our clients have a highly personalised care plan that accurately reflect their needs. As part of our multidisciplinary approach to care I work closely with other healthcare professionals, including district nurses, physiotherapist and occupational therapists to ensure a holistic approach to care delivery.

As a Registered Manager, I have an NVQ Level 4 and LMC Award and am now completing my Care Leadership & Management Level 5 Diploma.

Elaine GrieseI am originally from South Africa having immigrated to the UK in 2018. In South Africa I worked in the industrial services sector as a Development Manager which taught me to work in a fast paced operations environment, where I learnt how to manage and develop teams and infrastructure to optimise efficiency and service to our clients. This experience has been particularly valuable for my roles in care. I joined Oxford Aunts in March 2018 as a carer having previously worked in domiciliary care. Having undertaken comprehensive training and with the support of the management team, I was given the opportunity to become a Care Assessor. I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to provide high levels of support to our clients, their families and our carers that has really made a difference. I get great satisfaction from the feedback we receive from clients about the service we provide, which enables them to continue to live well in the home they love.

As a Care Assessor at Oxford Aunts, I am responsible for ensuring our clients can live well in their own homes with care and support from our live-in carer, whilst providing both the client, their families and our carers any support they may need. From the initial assessment of a client’s needs to the on-going review of our service, I provide high levels of support to ensure the standards of care Oxford Aunts are renowned for.

I have achieved certifications in People Management from the University of Cape Town and am a qualified Yoga Instructor, Aromatherapist and Reflexologist.

Expert carer matching

Over the past 50 years we have established a reputation for matching carers with our clients to ensure they meet all their needs – this is not just about matching skills, but making sure personalities are aligned so both client and carer can enjoy life together. Depending on the level of care required, it will determine not just the cost of your care, but the experience we expect your carer to have to ensure the high standards of care we are renowned for throughout Kenilworth and beyond.

Continuity of care makes all the difference
