CARE MANAGEMENT IN SANDHURST
A fully managed and regulated live-in care service
Our fully managed live-in care service in Sandhurst means that all our carers are employed by us whilst they care for you. A local care management team of care experts is on hand to provide support to not just to our clients’ and their family members, but also our carer to ensure the highest quality care is provided. We are also regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), unlike introduction agencies who will simply provide you with a carer for you to manage yourself. We are proud to have been rated ‘Good’ by CQC in all five measures – safe, caring, effective, responsive and well-led. We know our service provides families with peace and mind that their loved one is receiving the best possible care and eases the burden of managing a care arrangement themselves for their loved one.
Expertly trained carers in Sandhurst
All our dedicated carers receive marketing leading training developed by care experts, which goes beyond mandatory training. This enables our carers to support those living with complex conditions, such as dementia or Parkinson’s that require more monitoring, care and support.
From induction training, into placement and beyond and we ensure our carers continually develop their knowledge and skills so that our clients receive the best possible care now and in the future.
Local, dedicated care management near you

MEET YOUR LOCAL CARE
MANAGEMENT TEAM IN BERKSHIRE
Many of our clients are based in and around Berkshire so we have a regional team made up of a Care Assessor and Care Manager who can support you and your family whilst we are providing live-in care to you.
As Care Manager at Oxford Aunts, I am responsible for ensuring our clients and their families have a dedicated point of contact who truly understands their requirements and can support their service. I have a deep understanding of our carers, not just in terms of their skills and experience, but their personalities and values. This means I can effectively match our carers with clients to ensure, not just their care needs are met but that the carer is aligned to how the client wishes to live their life. I work closely with our Care Assessor which means our clients have a highly personalised care plan that accurately reflect their needs. As part of our multidisciplinary approach to care I work closely with other healthcare professionals, including district nurses, physiotherapist and occupational therapists to ensure a holistic approach to care delivery.
Hi, I am Claire Maxwell, Care Assessor for Region 3. I have been with Oxford Aunts since January this year. I enjoy spending precious time with my family and having long weekends away in our caravan (Carly).
My journey in health and social care began after my children had started school full-time. I wanted to try something new. When I left school, I worked in a private nursery caring for young children ranging from 3 months to 12 years. After being a mum, I fancied a new challenge, and caring for the elderly caught my attention – something I could really get job satisfaction from.
My work history began in domiciliary care, working locally to Oxford supporting a wide variety of amazing people. This is when I started my first NVQ training, which led me to expand my knowledge and my passion for care.
Before joining the team at Oxford Aunts, I was a Registered Manager for a small local domiciliary agency where I was responsible for the management of a care team, weekly rotas, resource management, team development and training, maintaining business compliance, and enabling an outstanding delivery of care. During this period, I was also responsible for carrying out assessments and reviews. I also completed care calls, and I loved being able to engage with the service users and support them to continue to live independently.
I have experience with dementia, palliative care, PEG feeding, and medication administration. I’ve completed training as a trainer in manual handling and hold the following qualifications:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults)
- Level 3 Dementia Pathway
- Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Social Care
- Level 2 Employment Responsibilities and Rights in Health and Social Care
- Level 2 Functional Skills Maths and English
- Moving and Handling (Practical and Theory)
- Health and Safety
- Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
- First Aid
- Fire Training
- Safe Administration of Medication
Being part of the team at Oxford Aunts, I work with people whose experiences and knowledge expand widely across the care sector, and who share the same passions for delivering high-quality live-in care.

OTHER REASONS TO CHOOSE OXFORD AUNTS FOR HIGH-QUALITY LIVE-IN CARE
Expert carer matching
Over the past 50 years we have established a reputation for matching carers with our clients to ensure they meet all their needs – this is not just about matching skills, but making sure personalities are aligned so both client and carer can enjoy life together. Depending on the level of care required, it will determine not just the cost of your care, but the experience we expect your carer to have to ensure the high standards of care we are renowned for throughout Sandhurst and beyond.
Continuity of care makes all the difference
Our carers will come and live with you to provide care and support for a longer period than might be offered by other live-in care providers.
