Returning carer: It’s good to be back

At Oxford Aunts, our hardworking team are from many different backgrounds and nationalities. Live-in care opens up a different world offering flexible work, the opportunity to travel and to experience different cultures.

One of our returning carers Teresa, was repatriated back to South Africa when Covid began. She has only now been able to return and we are ever so pleased to have her back in our team.

Teresa shares her story:

“I attended training the week of the 12th September 2022. It was a tight group of four, all from Africa, so we had a lot in common. I joined Oxford Aunts in 2017 and worked up until Covid arrived. I was repatriated back to South Africa and have only just been able to return, so training for me was a refresher. The other three ladies also had a lot of care experience making the week of training very interesting as we got to share our experiences and brush up on new legislation.

The first aid training was excellent – Paul made it very interesting and informative. It is wonderful to know that I am now equipped ready to help anyone in distress”.

Because our carers take care of everything in our clients home, we take care of everything for you. Oxford Aunts will enhance your life with work patterns and benefits that make a massive difference to your lifestyle, health and wellbeing. If you have been inspired by Teresa’s experience and want to join our team, please do get in touch by submitting an application today.
