Carer story: my experience with Oxford Aunts

At Oxford Aunts we are looking to recruit professional live-in home care assistants to support the people we care for to live happily in the comfort of their own home. The relationship you build with the person you’re caring for will give real meaning to the work you do.

One of our new starters Patricia shares the start of her experience at Oxford Aunts:

“It has been more than a month since I joined Oxford Aunts as a live-in carer. So far, I have greatly enjoyed the experience. The induction training I received improved my confidence in caring for others. I particularly like the fact that with live-in care, my sole focus is on one client at a time as opposed to working in a nursing or residential setting. The fact I don’t have to travel to work daily, and the three-hour breaks leaves me with more than enough energy to carry out my daily tasks.

The clients that I have taken care of are well assessed and I haven’t felt beyond my depth. I have recently had the opportunity to look after a centenarian and it’s been very interesting listening to her views and seeing the world through her eyes.”
