Meet Charlotte, our Registered Manager

“What I enjoy the most about my job is working for a fantastic team of people and being amazed by the difference that the special people that become live-in carers make to the lives of vulnerable people” says Charlotte our Registered Manager.

A key part of being a registered manager is ensuring all our care workers and clients are safe.  As well as managing incidents effectively and working closely with the operations, recruitment and clients services teams to discuss new clients and carers. It’s a very varied role, impacting on all parts of the business such as health and safety, digital technology, hourly care and improvements to systems and processes.

Here is what Charlotte shares about her journey at Oxford Aunts

“Oxford Aunts has taught me to be more confident in my ideas and champion the concept that we can work hard and achieve a lot while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Working here is like working in a family where you can be yourself and laugh, cry and get through anything together.

I also enjoy being a workplace cultural ambassador and speaking to different teams about working and treating others in a way that is respectful, accountable and understanding of the emotional needs of ourselves and others.

Throughout my time at Oxford Aunts, they have accomplished so many things including embedding a more structured operating model, rolling out the Carer Community online platform for our carers, winning and being shortlisted for awards, but what I am most proud of is the way the team has stuck together during difficult times through the covid pandemic.”
