New home for Oxford Aunts in Eynsham

Home care specialists, Oxford Aunts, have celebrated their office move with an open day and recruitment event.

Attended by the local community, staff, carers and clients, the open day took place at their new premises at Oasis Business Park, Eynsham on 30 March.

As well as celebrating the relocation of premises, the care company also held a recruitment event, with interviews taking place throughout the day for prospective carers local to Oxford, with two hires being made for their new hourly care service.

The office was officially opened by Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Ron Spurs, alongside Oxford Aunts General Manager, Kerri-Anne Jones.

Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Ron Spurs, officially opened the new office alongside Oxford Aunts General Manager, Kerri-Anne Jones.

She said: “Thank you to everyone who joined us at our open day last week. It was a brilliant day where our team was able to welcome so many people into our beautiful new space. It was great to see a mixture of members of our local community, our Good Care Group colleagues and Oxford Aunts family all celebrating together.”

The new office is a local hub for all staff and carers and includes a brand-new training facility, where up to 24 carers can be trained each week. New and existing carers from both Oxford Aunts and sister company, The Good Care Group, will be provided with training which is endorsed by leading charity, Age UK.

Members of staff spent time baking sweet treats for the event, which helped to raise funds for Eynsham Day Centre.

There was a charity car wash also planned by the local fire service to raise funds for the day centre, but this didn’t go ahead as they were called out. Both organisations hope to reschedule this so that they can continue to add donations to Eynsham Day Centre.

The Oxford Aunts office team celebrate the opening of their new office in Eynsham.

Oxford Aunts has been providing home care to families across Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties since 1967. They specialise in live-in care, but have more recently launched their hourly care service, where clients can choose to receive care at home at intervals throughout the week.
