Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Oxford Aunts

At Oxford Aunts, we celebrate the diversity of carers and the unique skills, perspectives, and compassion they bring. Diversity has become an essential aspect of fostering inclusive and effective care services.

We understand that care is a deeply personal experience, one shaped by culture, background, and individual values. Oxford Aunts recognises the importance of providing care that is not only expert and compassionate, but also culturally attuned. That’s why we’re proud to have a team of professional live-in carers from a wide range of cultural heritages, ensuring every client receives care that truly respects who they are.

For carers, this means joining an organisation that values difference and celebrates the unique perspectives you bring. We are delighted to have received a Diversity and Inclusion score of 4.7 out of 5 on Glassdoor, a reflection of our ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming, respectful, and supportive environment. At Oxford Aunts, we are proud to be a Disability Confident employer, we actively seek to remove barriers to employment and ensure everyone has the opportunity to succeed, grow, and feel valued in their role.

We welcome carers from across the globe, our company demographic shows that we currently have 31 nationalities. If you’re a fluent English speaker with the right to work in the UK and a passion for delivering exceptional care, we encourage you to apply to be a live-in carer, wherever you’re based. Many of our carers live overseas, balancing their time between rewarding placements and rest periods back home. Our video-based interview process makes it simple to connect from wherever you are!

As part of our commitment to diversity, we are delighted to work in partnership with RestLess, a platform that supports experienced professionals looking for fulfilling, flexible work later in life. Through this collaboration, we continue to welcome talented carers from all walks of life, recognising the immense value of lived experience, maturity, and dedication in delivering exceptional live-in care. Once you join Oxford Aunts, you become part of a professional, close-knit community with a wide age range of carers, between 21-80 averaging at 56. We are often asked if there’s an age limit for our care roles and some people are surprised when we say ‘no’. We have carers of all ages joining us, but the majority of our carers are aged 50+.

We believe that the best care is delivered by people who feel respected, inspired, and included. You’ll benefit from a supportive culture where teamwork, inclusion, and shared values are at the heart of everything we do. Through open communication and peer connection, we create a space where every carer feels heard, valued, and empowered. We take care of everything so if you’re looking to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while being supported every step of the way why not join our team of Live-in carers or local hourly carers.
