We’re excited to share that Oxford Aunts has purchased Countywide Caring, a small visiting care provider based in Wallingford. The move brings 21 carers, 25 clients and three care managers into our Oxford Aunts family, helping to protect access to high-quality care for local people.
While all Countywide Caring clients and staff are moving across to Oxford Aunts, the Countywide Caring name will be retired and services will continue under the Oxford Aunts name.
Our Managing Director, Paul Gibbs, said: “The Countywide Caring team is a great addition to Oxford Aunts and we will remain firmly focused on continuity of care and on supporting local families. By welcoming Countywide Caring colleagues into our organisation, we can offer familiar faces alongside training, standards, clinical governance and ongoing support that defines Oxford Aunts.”
Countywide Caring specialised in domiciliary care – or visiting home care – which will continue for clients without interruption. They’ll also be supported by our Oxford Aunts resources, safeguarding, quality frameworks, and learning and development. This means that all current care packages are remaining in place, with clients continuing to receive dedicated support, and a smooth, communicated transition.
This acquisition is all about supporting our long-term commitment to person-centred care, delivered by supported professionals. And keeping the Wallingford team in place preserves local knowledge and relationships with clients, families, commissioners and community health partners. It also allows us to create a stable platform to grow services responsibly across South Oxfordshire.
