Join our established and exceptional team and really make a difference

We are an established live-in care provider who has been delivering care at home for over 50 years. We are always looking for experienced and compassionate carers to join our wonderful team. Located in the heart of Oxford, our reputation is built on high standards of care that are trusted by families throughout our local community and beyond.

Live-in care work is
immensely rewarding

When you become a live-in carer with Oxford Aunts you will be providing one-to-one live-in care typically to an older person or a couple to enable them to live safely and comfortably in the place they love best – their own home – whilst avoiding an unnecessary move into a care home. It is an immensely rewarding career choice that has many benefits, not least that you are able to provide highly personalised one-to-one care with the time afforded to really make a difference to someone’s life, which is not easily achieved in a care home setting or if you are rushing from one household to the next.

Live-in care job description

The role of a live-in carer is very fulfilling and rewarding. As a live-in carer with Oxford Aunts you will be responsible for enabling an older person to live well in their own home, providing support with day-to-day tasks and activities that they no longer can perform alone, whilst offering all the care and companionship they need.

Each client will be assessed by our expert Care Assessor before Oxford Aunts provides a carer to live in their home. Depending on their overall care needs and their choices as to how they wish to live their life, we will take time to match the best carer to ensure all their needs are met. We look at a carers experience and ability to meet a clients’ care needs, and then match backgrounds, personalities and interests so both carer and client can enjoy life together.

We offer four different levels of care packages to our clients and a carers rate of pay will be based on the level of care they are providing – the lower pay rate will reflect a level one package and the higher rate based on a level four, where more complex care is needed.
