How to Apply
If you would like to apply to become an Oxford Aunt then please complete our Online Registration Form. Your form will be assessed by one of our team and if you meet our basic requirements we will take your application forward.
When we receive your completed application form we will take up your references first. We will then contact you to arrange an interview, if appropriate, unless you tell us otherwise at that stage.
Attending your interview
All suitable applicants are required to attend for a face-to-face interview, either in their home country or in the UK. We have dedicated trained interviewers in New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. You will be asked to bring certain original identification documents, along with any training or professional qualification certificates relevant to care or nursing when you attend. We will give you a list of the required documents beforehand. These documents, together with your work and personal history, will be checked at the interview. You will also be given a short questionnaire to complete which will form the basis for assessing and agreeing your skills level.
Carers from overseas
If you are applying from overseas it’s best to contact us at least three months before you are due to arrive in the UK. In order not to delay your work prospects when you arrive in the UK, please bring an up-to-date police check from your own country. It must show any previous names, plus your current name and address and be dated within three months of your arrival in the UK.
Following successful interview and receipt of satisfactory references, we will invite you to attend our induction training. A job offer will only be made after satisfactory completion of the induction training. If you are coming to the UK from overseas, please contact us again before you book your flight, so that we can fit you in for induction training.
If you need to apply for an ancestry visa and want a letter of support, please begin the process as soon as possible as we need to receive and consider your completed application form before we can write such a letter. Please note that any support letter we issue will not constitute a job offer. A job offer will only be made after satisfactory completion of the induction training.
