What We Need From You

You must be of good character, well presented, fit and active. You must also be kind, patient and prepared to respect and fit in with the client’s lifestyle. You need to be organised and able to work alone and on your own initiative.

We do not have an age limit.  However, we don't have many carers working for us aged over 68 or under 21.  In addition client car insurance makes it more difficult to find work for people aged under 25.

As well as supplying an up-to-date police check from home, you will be required to complete an enhanced UK police check (known as a CRB).  

Everyone who works for us must complete a CRB.  The identification documents you  will need for your CRB application will vary depending on your particular circumstances.   We will tell you what documents you can use but please contact us if you need clarification or further advice.  Please also read "Do I need a Police Check" in FAQ's

You will also need you to meet our formal person specification and be available to work for a minimum of 12 weeks.

As a live-in care giver you will need some personal care experience and the ability to run a home and cook to a reasonable standard.

Duties include planning menus, shopping, cooking, housework, plus driving and attending appointments or outings with your client. You will also be expected to give some assistance with washing, dressing, bathing and personal grooming.

If you have substantial care work experience or a nursing background then your duties might also include assistance with complex personal or emotional care needs, depending on your aptitude and skills. Our job description sets out the full range of duties.
