- Light domestic duties
- Personal laundry and ironing
- Pet care
- Plant care and light gardening
- Correspondence and arranging a social diary
- Receiving visitors
- Driving and using public transport
- Attending social outings and visiting family and friends
- Attending places of worship
- Money management
Personal care can include assistance with:-
- Washing, bathing or showering
- Dressing, undressing and selection of clothes
- Oral hygiene, shaving, hair care and personal grooming
- Taking medication
- Night calls
- Using the lavatory
- Incontinence
- Mobilising, transferring and using hoists
- Pressure area care, catheter care and stoma care
- Memory loss or dementia
- Frustration and irritation
- Anxiety and agitation
- Post operative care following elective surgery
- Post operative care following major surgery
- Palliative care
