The Care Staff We Provide
As well as our mandatory induction training, care workers will either have previous experience or be given relevant training in the appropriate skills level for specialist conditions.
The care workers we provide are usually from overseas – New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, etc. Some are qualified nurses with or without their UK registration who are happy to work as care workers. Others will have undertaken training and gained an overseas qualification in care work, or will have gained personal care experience in their countries of origin.
Many carers also have the additional experience of running their own homes, bringing up a family, etc.
Care workers from overseas are either on a working holiday or are travelling and working in the UK on an ancestry visa. . Care workers are generally available to work for up to three months at a time but some stay much longer, while others return to the same client again and again after taking breaks for travel.
All care workers undertake our four days induction training and are asked to attend ongoing training to develop and update their skills and competencies.
